Before it's too late

A few below-freezing mornings here in New Jersey, and just like that, the fall colors are gone.

So before I get caught up in the holiday season to come and forget just how brilliant those colors can be, I thought I'd highlight the work of one of my favorite watercolorists, Lynn Holbein.

Meeting Lynn virtually while doing research for this site has reminded me of the many wonderful offerings out there in the digital world. It's also been through Lynn that I came to know her daughter, Chapel Hill, N.C. resident Kate H. Rademacher, whose new book Following the Red Bird - a faith journey memoir for mere mortals - is a true gem.
