On Life Law and Leaps of Faith
“I’m a big believer in the energy change brings.”
I wrote those words back in 2017 when I first launched this website, a nod to the shifts and shapes my professional life had taken - as an attorney and then second-career writer – and how they intersected with my personal life.
About Me
I didn’t know then that I was already undergoing a seismic health shift. Five years later I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, shoved into a stark new reality – a change I never saw coming and certainly never wanted – and reeling for a time in an uncertain space.
But now yet again an energy is emerging, fueled by the shared stories of other Parkinson’s people that have given me great comfort and helped me realize that despite my tumbling, I’m still here. I’m still an attorney and writer. Still a wife, mother (and grandmother now), sister, friend. Still love good books, clean beaches and fresh air, travel, chocolate, and above all family. Still have things to say and stories to share.
So I’m poised to keep writing, not only about viewing this crazy world through a new lens but also about appreciating the beauty in being broken.
